Dear bloggers,
First of all, I would like to present myself as one of the most (or nearly) unexperienced bloggers of us all, and consequently, I beg you (down on my knees), to be indulgent.
However, as the main goal of this blog is to become a platform of knowledge for Central Asia, please don't hesitate to send me any corrections to what you believe being wrong information.
Now, I still have to present the area concerned, and the domains it will cover.
Although Central Asia normally comprehends Kirghiztan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Tadjikistan, I think Afghanistan should also be part of this whole. Indeed, they do have common factors such as muslim religion, many years of sovietic communism, abundance of raw materials, or, even the topographical similarities make us want to integrate rather naturally the latter.
This being said, I can now start talking about the themes that will be dealt with.
As a matter of fact, the general existing documentation about this region being quite poor, I have not only thought about englobing a large variety of domains, such as geopolitics, history, geography, strategic data, but also art. In this prospect shall I split the analisis in two, one part being reserved for the region itself, the other for each country's situation.
And last, but not least, I must keep you aware that some of my research will be in French, but some also in English and Spanish, but if a translation is needed, I will obviously be pleased to do it (within my schedule availibility of course).
Only now can I let you virtually explore this mysterious part of the world...
